CVE-2025-49250Network attack vector

Authenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated action value

Published Jun 6, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Code injection in Carlos Moreira Team Showcase before 25.05.13 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary WordPress shortcodes. The affected action fails to validate a user-controlled value before passing it to WordPress's do_shortcode function, so shortcode handlers process attacker-supplied input. Subscriber-level access is required, and the exposed data depends on the shortcodes installed and enabled on the WordPress site.
