Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published May 19, 2025 · Updated May 19, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Client Database Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code. The user_delivery_update.php endpoint accepts uploaded_file_cancelled as an image without validating its extension or content, then stores the attacker-chosen PHP file in the web-accessible files directory. No authentication is required, and requesting the uploaded script executes code in the web server context, enabling data access, tampering, or service interruption.
