CVE-2025-49183Network attack vector

Media disclosure via cleartext REST API traffic

Published Jun 12, 2025 · Updated Jun 13, 2025

Cleartext transmission in SICK Media Server's REST API in all versions allows man-in-the-middle attackers to download media files. The REST API sends all client-server traffic over HTTP without transport encryption, exposing requests, responses, and media to interception. An attacker must occupy the network path between an API client and the server; the reported impact is information gathering and media-file disclosure, not modification or interruption.
