Unauthenticated code execution via translation path traversal
Published Jun 20, 2025 · Updated Jun 20, 2025
Code injection in Pterodactyl Panel before 1.11.11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through the public locale endpoint. LocaleController passes unvalidated locale and namespace values to Laravel's translation loader, permitting traversal outside language directories and loading attacker-selected PHP files. No authentication or user interaction is required; execution under the Panel service account exposes configuration secrets, database records, and managed-server files.
