Policy-rule overwrite via missing permission enforcement
Published Jul 30, 2025 · Updated Jul 31, 2025
Improper access control in the Absolute Secure Access management console before 13.56 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite policy rules. The console accepts an administrator's policy-rule update without enforcing the additional permission required to replace that rule. Administrative console access is required, and overwritten rules can weaken access controls protecting subsequent systems.
