Runner command execution via unescaped review body
Published Jun 9, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
Code injection in WilderForge GitHub Actions workflows allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands via crafted pull request reviews. Affected workflows interpolate ${{ github.event.review.body }} and other user-controlled expressions directly into shell scripts without neutralizing command syntax. A repository user who can submit a pull request review can run commands with the workflow's permissions and compromise CI resources, accessible secrets, and build outputs.
