Authentication bypass via nonterminating JWT rejection
Published Jun 3, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025
Authentication bypass in FIT2CLOUD DataEase before 2.10.10 allows remote attackers to access protected web functions with forged JWTs. CommunityTokenFilter sets an unauthorized response after failed HMAC verification but still invokes filterChain.doFilter, while TokenUtils trusts decoded uid and oid claims. Network access to the web service is sufficient; a forged token supplies an arbitrary user and organization identity to downstream protected handlers.
