Authenticated configuration tampering via missing admin checks
Published May 30, 2025 · Updated May 30, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Navidrome before 0.56.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter administrator-only transcoding settings. The transcodingRepository Put, Save, Update, and Delete methods perform writes without checking the request user's IsAdmin flag. A regular account and enabled transcoding are required; successful requests create, modify, or delete transcoding configuration.
