CDN path manipulation via clobbered currentScript
Published Jul 3, 2025 · Updated Jul 3, 2025
DOM clobbering in tarteaucitron.js before 1.22.0 allows context-dependent attackers to change its CDN path through crafted HTML. Initialization treats document.currentScript as a script without confirming its element type, then derives tarteaucitronPath and cdn from its src value. The attacker must already control page HTML and induce a user to load the page; the result redirects dependent resource loads or prevents them.
