Password recovery via weak MD5 hashing

Weak password hashing in TeleMessage service through 2025-05-05 allows local users to recover passwords from exposed MD5 hashes. The password-hashing path applies computationally inexpensive MD5 hashing, enabling rapid dictionary and rainbow-table testing of captured digests. Exploitation requires access to password hashes, and the resulting consequence is indirect disclosure of the corresponding passwords.
