Authenticated object access via missing permission checks
Published May 30, 2025 · Updated Jun 4, 2025
Incorrect authorization in Valtimo backend libraries allows remote authenticated users to read and alter Objecten API objects. The object-management and objecten-api modules sent list, view, create, modify, and delete operations without enforcing object-action permissions. Any logged-in user needs no relevant application role, but at least one object type must be configured; exposed object URLs also permit reading outside object-management views.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 11.0.0.RELEASE, <= 11.3.3.RELEASE
- Affected versionversion=>= 12.0.0.RELEASE, < 12.13.0.RELEASE

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
