Administrator creation via unvalidated cross-origin request
Published May 18, 2025 · Updated May 19, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in SourceCodester Online Student Clearance System 1.0 allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts. The admin/add-admin.php endpoint accepts cross-origin POST account fields and a Super Admin designation without validating a CSRF token, Origin, or Referer. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open attacker-controlled content, after which the forged request adds the supplied privileged account.
