Authenticated command execution via eval of query input
Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025
Eval injection in the project_bulk_archive view in Horilla HRMS 1.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands. The view passes the user-controlled is_active query parameter directly to Python eval() without validation or sanitization. Exploitation requires project-archive privileges and an existing project; DEBUG mode affects response visibility, not command execution.
