Backup archive disclosure via improper access control
Published Aug 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Improper access control in ctrlX OS - Setup allows remote authenticated users to read elevated users' backup archives. The web application fails to enforce the creator's authorization boundary when serving stored backups, although Bosch has not disclosed the affected endpoint or check. A low-privileged account and interaction by an elevated user who has created a backup are required; exposed archives can contain sensitive device data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=1.20.0 <=1.20.1
