Use of a less trusted source in RICOH Streamline NX V3 PC Client 3.5.0 through 3.7.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute code. The PC Client's remote-upgrade path accepts a DLL from a less trusted source; Ricoh has not disclosed the specific missing validation check. The attacker must be positioned to intercept upgrade traffic, and successful exploitation runs custom DLL code on the workstation.
