Internal resource access via unrestricted outbound requests
Published May 23, 2025 · Updated May 23, 2025
SSRF in StrangeBee TheHive allows remote authenticated users with admin permissions to send requests to restricted internal hosts. Specific administrative API endpoints accept attacker-controlled URLs and issue server-side requests to arbitrary hosts or ports without adequate destination restrictions. The vendor has not identified the endpoints; exploitation requires an administrator able to access them and exposes resources reachable from the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=5.2.0 <5.2.16
- Affected versionversion=5.3.0 <5.3.11
- Affected versionversion=5.4.0 <5.4.10
- Affected versionversion=5.5.0 <5.5.1

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
