Remote information disclosure via multilayer AV1 decoding
Published Dec 8, 2025 · Updated Dec 17, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Google Cloud Android 15 and 16 allows remote attackers to disclose heap data through crafted scalable AV1 video. C2SoftDav1dDec's initDecoder retains dav1d's all-layers default even though the wrapper cannot handle every scalable-video layer buffer. No privileges or user interaction are required, and the documented consequence is limited to information disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
