Local privilege escalation via recycled lazy-value Parcel
Published Dec 8, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Use-after-free in Android Framework BaseBundle in Android 14 through 16 allows local users to elevate privileges through crafted Bundle data. BaseBundle recycles the backing Parcel after lazy values are consumed, allowing the Parcel to be reused while dependent references can still access it. A low-privileged local app can trigger the flaw without user interaction and execute code with the privileges of the process handling the Bundle.
