Missing authorization in Google Android 14 through 16 allows local users to escalate privileges through MediaProvider with user interaction. MediaProvider clears the caller identity before parsing a URI or validating a document authority, but exception paths fail to restore it, bypassing WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE checks. Exploitation requires local access and user interaction; it grants unauthorized external-storage access under the provider's identity.
