Motion-event disclosure via system-server permission confusion
Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Sep 4, 2025
Information disclosure in Android 14 allows local users to monitor motion events through a malicious accessibility service. The setObservedMotionEventSources permission check runs after Binder.clearCallingIdentity(), so it checks system_server rather than the calling AccessibilityService. An installed accessibility service needs no additional execution privileges or user interaction to observe gesture-derived information.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
