Cross-user image disclosure via wrong-user editor launch
Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Sep 4, 2025
Information disclosure in Google Cloud Android 13 through 16 allows local users to read images across the Android User boundary via Sharesheet. IntentResolver's image-edit action launches the editor as the personal-profile user rather than the user that opened Sharesheet, granting the wrong profile access to the shared image. Exploitation requires low privileges and user interaction, and the demonstrated consequence is cross-user image disclosure without data modification.
