Local privilege escalation via unchecked abstract-class instantiation
Published Sep 4, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Cloud Android 13 through 16 allows local users to escape Chrome's sandbox and escalate privileges. During object deserialization, ART's JNI NewObject paths fail to reject abstract classes before allocation, creating invalid object-lifetime state. Exploitation starts in a low-privileged local context, requires no user interaction, reaches system_server, and has seen limited targeted use.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
