CVE-2025-48515

Physical code execution via unsanitized upgrade parameters

Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026

Integer overflow in affected AMD Ryzen processors' ASP Boot Loader allows physically proximate attackers to execute code via an SPI ROM upgrade. The boot loader insufficiently sanitizes SPI ROM upgrade parameters, allowing an integer overflow to overwrite memory and redirect execution. Exploitation requires physical access, high privileges, a high-complexity operation, and participation in the firmware upgrade process; the reported impact is confined to the processor environment.
