Guest memory integrity loss via unchecked RMP initialization
Published Feb 10, 2026 · Updated Feb 10, 2026
Improper initialization in AMD EPYC SEV-SNP firmware allows local users to corrupt protected guest memory through RMP misidentification. Missing checks in reverse map table initialization functions allow I/O memory to be misidentified while protected guest-memory mappings are established. Administrative host privileges and a high-complexity local attack are required; the documented consequence is limited to guest memory integrity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
