CVE-2025-48506

Local code execution via DLL search hijacking

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026

Uncontrolled DLL search paths in AMD Unified Installer before 2026.1 allow local users to execute arbitrary code on Windows. AMD identifies the Vitis installation path as the loading locus but does not disclose the executable, DLL name, or exact untrusted directory. Exploitation requires local access and active user interaction; the injected DLL runs with the privileges of the process that loads it.
