Unauthorized parameter acceptance via overwritten validation rules
Published May 30, 2025 · Updated May 30, 2025
Validation bypass in Lomkit Laravel Rest Api before 2.13.0 allows remote attackers to submit unauthorized API parameters. The validation-rule merger overwrites earlier rules when the same attribute is defined across index, store, or update contexts. Exploitation requires a reachable generated endpoint with overlapping rules; accepted parameters can alter application data or behavior within that endpoint's privileges.
