Stored script execution via unescaped translated phrases
Published May 30, 2025 · Updated May 30, 2025
Stored XSS in FreeScout before 1.8.180 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The translation editor accepts an unescaped POST value for a phrase, then flash notifications and raw translation rendering place that stored value into HTML. Administrator access is required to publish the translation, and a user must view a matching notification or unescaped translated phrase.
