CVE-2025-48485Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Session theft via stored customer profile XSS

Published May 30, 2025 · Updated May 30, 2025

Stored XSS in FreeScout before 1.8.180 allows remote authenticated users to steal browser-held data through a customer profile. The customer update endpoint stores unsanitized HTML or JavaScript in profile fields such as first name, company, and job title, then renders it in another user's browser. Exploitation requires an authorized user to edit a customer and another user to view the poisoned profile or conversation, exposing that viewer's session and sensitive data.
