Session hijacking via stored device-field scripts
Published Jun 24, 2025 · Updated Jun 25, 2025
Stored XSS in Advantech WISE A2.01 B00 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in another user’s browser through device fields. The web interface accepts script-bearing values in device fields and stores them for execution when another user views those fields. Exploitation requires high privileges, adjacent-network access, and another user’s interaction; script execution can hijack sessions, alter pages, steal credentials, or elevate privileges.
