CVE-2025-48462

Login denial via session-slot exhaustion

Published Jun 24, 2025 · Updated Jun 25, 2025

Denial of service in Advantech WISE firmware A2.01 B00 allows remote authenticated users to block logins by exhausting session slots. Public advisories identify exhaustion of the device's finite session-slot pool but do not disclose the request-handling locus or why allocated slots remain unavailable. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access and high privileges; the documented consequence is denial of new logins, not device shutdown or data compromise.
