Authenticated privilege escalation via hidden CLI command
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Privilege escalation in Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer allows remote authenticated users with read-only CLI access to gain privileges. The products' CLI exposes an undocumented command that accepts execution from a read-only administrator and performs operations beyond that role's authorization. An attacker must hold a read-only administrator account with CLI access; Fortinet has not disclosed the command name or exact elevated role.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
