Firmware interception via improper server identity validation
Published Aug 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 9, 2026
Improper certificate validation in Eaton Rack PDU G4 before 3.5.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept firmware traffic. The command-shell upgrade workflow incorrectly validates the remote server identity before accepting firmware content. Reaching the flaw requires privileged command-shell access, user interaction, and a network position that can intercept the upgrade connection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
