Client starvation via connection acceptance error
Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Denial of service in affected Redis releases allows remote attackers to starve clients through repeated IP protocol errors. The connection-accept path stops processing queued clients after an accepted connection reports an IP protocol error instead of continuing the accept loop. No authentication is required; repeated errors prevent legitimate clients from connecting and interrupt database availability without reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
