CVE-2025-48366Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped phone numbers

Published May 22, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025

Stored XSS in Intermesh BV GroupOffice before 6.8.119 and 25.0.20 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The profile Communication form stores an HTML img/onerror payload as a phone number, and the Address Book renders it without neutralizing alternate script syntax. A user account must save the crafted number; opening the affected contact then runs the payload in another user's browser, enabling redirects, background requests, or actions in that user's session.
