CVE-2025-48300Network attack vector

Web-shell upload via missing file type validation

Published Jul 16, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in Groundhogg 4.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to upload web shells to WordPress servers. The contact-file upload path stores attacker-supplied files under the WordPress uploads tree without validating their file type. Sales Representative access is sufficient; code execution follows when the web server treats an uploaded file as executable.
