Authenticated script execution via DOM-based XSS
Published May 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
DOM-based XSS in Greg Winiarski WPAdverts 2.2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The flaw is in the Classifieds Search block, but published materials do not identify the DOM source, sink, or missing neutralization operation. Contributor-level access and interaction by a privileged user with attacker-controlled content are required, bounding impact to that user's browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
