Subscriber-level import creation via unchecked AJAX handler
Published May 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in StellarWP The Events Calendar 6.11.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create imports. The ajax_preview_import() AJAX handler invokes its import-submission path without a capability check on the requesting account. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized import creation, with no reported data disclosure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
