Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode output
Published May 19, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in WPFactory Product Notes Tab & Private Admin Notes for WooCommerce 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script. The plugin's product-note shortcodes return stored note content without output escaping, so crafted markup is rendered when shortcode output is viewed. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, and script execution requires another user to view the affected output.
