Stored XSS via forged privileged-user requests
Published Aug 28, 2025 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Xavier Media XM-Backup 0.9.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to plant stored script via a crafted request. Patchstack has not published the affected handler, request parameter, or missing verification operation that lets the request persist script content. Exploitation requires a logged-in privileged user to interact with attacker-controlled content; the stored script then executes in the affected site's browser context.
