Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025
Missing authorization in Progress Planner 1.8.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to gain Administrator access. The handle_interactive_task_submit() function omits a capability check and accepts arbitrary WordPress option updates. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to enable registration, set the default new-user role to Administrator, and create an administrative account.
