Authenticated secret disclosure via overbroad settings response
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2025
Information disclosure in BlueWave Labs Checkmate before 2.1 allows remote authenticated users to read secrets via /api/v1/settings. The getAppSettings controller returned a broadly populated settings object after deleting only jwtSecret, leaving PageSpeed API and system email credentials exposed. Any authenticated regular account could retrieve those values; the published impact is limited to confidentiality, with no integrity or availability effect.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
