Process termination via crafted-message assertion
Published Feb 13, 2026 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Reachable assertion in Yokogawa Vnet/IP Interface Package R1.07.00 and earlier allows remote attackers to terminate the software stack process. The ywnvpcore process accepts a crafted Vnet/IP message that reaches an assertion and exits instead of rejecting the malformed input. Exploitation requires unauthenticated access from an adjacent Vnet/IP network and interrupts communication without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
