Unauthenticated file modification via path traversal
Published May 20, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Path traversal in SEL-5056 Network Management System before 2.16.0 allows remote attackers to modify or upload files. The Circuit Provisioning and File Import applications fail to confine attacker-controlled pathnames to their intended directories. No authentication or user interaction is required, but exploitation has high complexity and can compromise files handled by these applications.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
