Memory corruption via unchecked MDELETE command length
Published May 16, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Buffer overflow in FreeFloat FTP Server 1.0 allows remote attackers to corrupt process memory through a crafted MDELETE command. The MDELETE handler fails to validate the length of attacker-controlled command data before copying it into a bounded memory buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; exploitation can alter process memory, expose data, or interrupt the FTP service.
