CVE-2025-47914Network attack vector

Unauthenticated agent crash via truncated lifetime constraint

Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in golang.org/x/crypto/ssh/agent before 0.45.0 allows remote attackers to crash SSH Agent servers. During a new-identity request, parseConstraints reads a four-byte lifetime value from constraints[1:5] without first ensuring that five bytes remain. A malformed lifetime constraint can therefore panic programs that expose ServeAgent or ForwardToAgent, interrupting the affected agent service without authentication.
