Information exposure via bracketed non-IPv6 hosts

Improper URL validation in Go standard library net/url before 1.24.8 and 1.25.0 through 1.25.1 allows remote attackers to expose information. The parseHost routine accepted bracket-delimited IPv4 addresses and hostnames without confirming that the bracket contents formed an IPv6 address. Exposure requires an application to parse attacker-controlled URLs and rely on the accepted host for a security-sensitive decision; the disclosed information depends on that application.
