Arbitrary filesystem installation via unsigned upgrade packages

Code-integrity failure in Microchip Technology TimeProvider 4100 before 2.5 allows local users to install a tampered filesystem. The upgrade workflow accepts packages without asymmetric signature verification, so a modified package can replace the appliance filesystem. Exploitation requires root access and extraction of the symmetric image key, and upgrades are reachable only through the management port.
