CVE-2025-47889Network attack vector

Unauthenticated login via unvalidated authentication claims

Published May 14, 2025 · Updated May 19, 2025

Authentication bypass in Jenkins WSO2 Oauth Plugin 1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to create sessions under arbitrary usernames. The WSO2 Oauth security realm accepts submitted username and password values as authentication claims without validating either value. The realm must be configured on the controller; resulting sessions lack group authorities, so access depends on permissions assigned to the chosen username or to logged-in users.
