CVE-2025-47872Network attack vector

Serial-number status disclosure via response discrepancies

Published Aug 8, 2025 · Updated Aug 8, 2025

Observable response discrepancy in EG4 Electronics inverter registration services allows remote attackers to enumerate serial-number status. The public registration endpoint returns distinct responses for nonexistent, valid-unregistered, and already-registered serial numbers instead of a uniform result. Unauthenticated network access and sequentially assigned serial numbers enable enumeration of registration status, without reported access to device control or configuration.
