Service interruption via unrestricted share-recipient proxying
Published May 16, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
SSRF in affected Nextcloud Server and Nextcloud Enterprise Server releases allows remote attackers to proxy requests through a public endpoint. The public ExternalSharesController::testRemote action prepends HTTP or HTTPS to an attacker-supplied host and issues up to six GET requests to fixed paths without restricting the destination. No authentication is required, but adjacent-network access is required; repeated abuse can consume server resources and interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 28.0.0, < 28.0.13
